“It’s part meditation, part immersive performance - and pure, mesmerising magic.” - Women Love Tech

A large-scale interactive light and sound that shifted Cockle Bay Wharf into a pool of moving neon and invited 1.2 million Vivid-goers into the creation and expression of the show.

For Sydney’s VIVID Festival, I creative directed Space to Dream, an immersive and interactive, large-scale experience commissioned by Samsung Electronics Australia.

The installation transformed Sydney’s Cockle Bay Wharf in Darling Harbour into a luminous landscape of sound and light, featuring three towering 18-metre, four-sided structures.

Using cutting-edge pixel mesh technology, the work blurred the line between reality and illusion, inviting audiences to step into the creation itself and explore the boundless possibilities of imagination. Participants could move through the work across a custom built footbridge and add to the work in real-time, via a touch response.

The piece is a 7 minute journey through dreaming, as protagonist Tiara Vella drifts deeper into the dream state, floating and soaring through liminal space. Combining live action and CGI, we translated impressionistic ideas into vivid colour, light, and motion, creating a transcendent space that evokes meditation, inspiration, and elation. Space to Dream celebrates the surreal beauty of our own dreaming, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in wonder and play.
